Why does hope even exist when all it does is make you disappointed?

So I moved to Arizona. It's been okay so far. It's nice to be home but at the same time I miss everyone out there. I just wish when I move I can pack everyone up and take them with me. Today I have an appointment at the Culinary Art Institute of Scottsdale for a tour of the building. I think it should be fun. I enjoy cooking. Not sure if it's what I want to do for the rest of my life but we will see. I haven't started working yet, and I haven't even unloaded my car yet, i'm so behind, but my mom is telling me to take it slow I'm not in a hurry I have the rest of the week off. So yeah just a little update from out here. The heat isn't too bad, but I'm surprised I haven't gone swimming yet. Well that's all for now.

This is what happened to me at work yesterday.

It was about 7am, and I was taking out the trash at work. The dumpster isn't too far away, but it's behind this big gate thing that closes and you can't see behind it in this alley, but you can still see it from the store. Anyway, I was making my first run (I had 3 more to do) when this man comes over, he comes up to me while I'm throwing the cardboard away and says to me. "Miss are you caucasian?" and I said "half, why?" and he said "well do you see that car over there? That pontiac vibe?" and I said yes, and he said "I'll give it to you, if you let me give you some Ni**er." (he was an african american man, meaning he wanted to give me some of himself) and I said "excuse me?" and he repeated himself, and I said "I have a car, thank you." Then I started to walk away and he was trying to say I'm sorry. So I go back into the store and have the only boy in the store come in and take out the rest of the trash. After that I went on my 10 min break but when I came back out he was still out there, so I went and called in that one of our machines was broken trying to stay in the backroom. After a couple of mins, my assistant manager came in and I told him what happened, he told that man to leave and never come back and if he did that we'd call the police on him. Well the rest of my shift went okay but I was pretty shaken up, it's just work has always felt safe to me, but not anymore. So that man came back later that day and they did call the police on him but he left before they came.

I wanted everyone (especially all you girls who are reading this) to be aware, and be careful. People are sick and twisted and need to be put away. I'll probably never want to take out the trash again.
